Frequently Asked Questions

🧩 Is it a competition?

Yes – and no. The event is a competition in the classic sense that the three teams who place the most pieces win. But you can also participate even if you're not the fastest puzzler. As long as you want to spend 10 hours with family, friends, colleagues, or others and lots of puzzles, you're more than welcome to sign up.

🧩 How many people per team?

A team consists of 4 to 6 people. However, only 4 people can sit at the table and puzzle at a time. How you divide the time between puzzling and breaks is entirely up to you. Some teams set a rotation schedule (e.g., every 2 hours), others switch after a certain number of puzzles.

🧩 Can I participate without a team?

Yes! If you'd like to join but don't have a team, try finding teammates. The best place to start is the event's Facebook page:

You can also write to us at event@danskpuslespilsforening.dk, and we'll try to group solo participants together so everyone gets a chance to participate.

🧩 What if I need a break?

You can take as many breaks as you need. We encourage participants to take breaks and get food and drinks throughout the day. Even if your team only has 4 people, we recommend taking breaks.

🧩 What puzzles will we be assembling?

The competition will feature a selection of different brands. You can expect puzzles with 500 to 1,500 pieces from popular brands. Puzzles must be completed in a specific order. You may only start the next puzzle once the current one is finished.

🧩 Can I buy food and drinks at the venue?

Yes! Food and drinks are available for purchase on site at reasonable prices. Outside food is not allowed, but you may bring a water bottle to the competition area.

🧩 Can children participate?

Yes. Children over 15 can participate on equal terms with adults. Children under 15 are also welcome, as long as they sit at a table with an adult who can ensure the child's well-being and supervision throughout the day.
