Meet our sponsors
The Danish Puzzle Marathon would not be the same without our sponsors. Nine puzzle brands, shops and design studios have said yes to taking part — with puzzles for the competition and prizes for the participants.

All nine sponsors are gathered below. Press a logo to read about the brand behind it — who they are, where they come from, and what makes their puzzles worth assembling.
Ravensburger
3 rounds
Ravensburger was founded in 1883 with the ambition of making games that both entertained children and taught them something. More than 140 years later that is still the foundation of the family-owned company, today the world's largest puzzle manufacturer. The quality is worth mentioning: that distinctive soft click, a varied piece cut and a beautiful surface — across a wide range of formats, styles and artists. Ravensburger is a warm supporter of the puzzle community.
Ulmer Puzzleschmiede
2 rounds
Ulmer Puzzleschmiede is a family-owned German puzzle brand, founded in 2021 in Nersingen near Ulm. They make premium adult jigsaw puzzles with a focus on local, sustainable production and close collaboration with local artists. The result is clean, calm, artistic imagery — plus the "Impossible Puzzles" series for the particularly stubborn. Several of their collections are Nordic, so the images should feel right at home in Køge.
ViSSEVASSE
1 round
ViSSEVASSE is a Copenhagen-based design studio with a special, poetic universe of muted pastels and recognizable motifs that capture small everyday moments and Nordic tranquility. All designs are created to evoke memories, stir emotions, and remind us to create a little analog breathing space where absorption and presence are not the exception, but the rule. The studio is family-run, founded in 2013 by Dorthe Mathiesen, who still creates every design herself.
Puslespilsbutikken / Penny Puzzle
2 rounds
Puslespilsbutikken is Denmark's only puzzle shop — with floor-to-ceiling shelves, a physical shop on Anna Queens Stræde in Helsingør and puzzle enthusiasts behind the counter. Plus a webshop that delivers puzzles across the country. The shop is also behind its own brand, Penny Puzzle, whose "Home of" series includes Home of Hamlet, with a motif from Helsingør, and Home of Fairytales with Hans Christian Andersen. Penny Puzzle does not use AI-generated art, but works with real artists and illustrators.
Heye
2 rounds
Heye is a German puzzle brand, founded in 1962 by Friedrich Wilhelm Heye and based today in Unterhaching, south of Munich. The brand is known for its art puzzles and for those distinctive triangular boxes — and above all for its long collaboration with the Argentinian cartoonist Mordillo, whose colourful, teeming scenes have become Heye's signature. Images packed with detail, that you do not bluff your way through.
Martin Schwartz
1 round
Martin Schwartz is a Danish design brand that has specialised in beautiful illustrations of cities since 2012. The series has grown to 25 different puzzles featuring Danish and international cities, characterised by an astonishing wealth of detail that gives every single piece its own small recognisable detail. Assembling a Martin Schwartz puzzle is like taking a walk through the city, and every box includes a list of all the buildings in the artwork.
House of Puzzles
1 round
House of Puzzles was founded in Scotland in 1999 by Grant, Audray and Ivor with a collection of 12 jigsaws. Today the range runs past 600 titles, illustrated by the house's own artists, and the puzzles are still designed and manufactured in the UK. The artwork runs to captivating landscapes and nostalgic scenes, from vintage seascapes and spectacular steam trains to farmyard frolics and festive fun. Their other signature is the pieces: all 500 and 1000 piece puzzles use their own unusual piece shapes — you cannot assume what fits, you have to look.
PusleStudiet
Prize sponsor
PusleStudiet is a Danish webshop for people who take puzzling seriously — their own motto puts it well: when puzzles are not just a hobby, but a way of life. The range runs from 99-piece minis to 1,500 pieces, with curated brands such as Olleo, Trevell, STO Puzzle and Nathan plus art series from the likes of Pomegranate. They also run Puzzle Race DK, where you compete solo or in teams, so they know speedpuzzling from the inside. PusleStudiet is contributing prizes to the marathon.
Puzzleshop.dk
Prize sponsor
Puzzleshop.dk is a Danish puzzle webshop based in Trige near Aarhus, with a range that covers just about everything: from 500 pieces all the way up to the formidable 40,320-piece puzzle, plus XL pieces, round, 3D and wooden puzzles. The shelves hold Ravensburger, Jumbo, Clementoni, Jan van Haasteren, Wasgij, Schmidt, Educa, Bluebird and many more. Their own message is a simple one: puzzles are the perfect way to be together. Puzzleshop.dk is contributing prizes to the marathon.
